SHE may be pregnant, but that’s not slowing down actress Amy Huberman.
With her bump wrapped up against the cold, the star turned up to another day of filming for her upcoming movie ‘The Stag’.
The 33-year-old joined her fellow cast members, including Hugh O’Conor, Andrew Strong, Andrew Bennett, Michael Legge, Brian Gleeson and Peter McDonald, to shoot scenes of a dinner party yesterday.
‘The Stag’, written by Peter McDonald and John Butler, is being shot over four weeks and is due for release in 2013. It features a group of male friends who embark on an Irish stag party, with Huberman as the bride-to-be.
The actress, who is fast becoming a leading comedienne on screen thanks to her recent role in ‘Threesome’, has stressed that she will be a “working mum” after her little addition arrives.
Her co-star Pauline McLynn describes herself as Huberman’s “comedy mother”.
McLynn told the Irish Independent that Brian O’Driscoll’s wife is hilarious, both on and off camera.
“She’s always got a smile on her face,” said McLynn.
“And she’s really funny. She’s very beautiful and loves nothing more than doing goofy and that’s really attractive,” she said.
McLynn also told of her delight to see the actress embrace motherhood.
“I was a showbiz granny and mammy to her in the show. My kid is having a kid – she’s fantastic.”
McLynn was speaking at the launch of her popular ‘Go On’ tea cosies at Avoca on Suffolk Street in Dublin. She will be on hand to sign teapots at the store this weekend.
